Jennifer and James' autumn wedding at Lains Barn in Oxfordshire was so much fun! A personal ceremony with a very funny registrar, hilarious speeches and a Ceilidh band for the ultimate evening reception - it was a day full of laughter.
Kind words
"THANK YOU! We absolutely love our video, thank you so much. It was amazing to get to relive the day and we're so grateful for your work on the video. In fact, we love it so much that we've insisted our family join us this Saturday for a "red carpet premiere"! They of course think we are nuts but the video warrants it in our opinion!"

Preparations at home
Jennifer, her Mum and bridesmaids had a lovely, relaxed morning at home before the ceremony. During breakfast they exchanged gifts with lots of laughter before doing their hair and make up upstairs. For the first time, I was the only supplier during the preparations and felt very honoured to capture these moments.
James and his best men made the final arrangements at the barn as well as tweaking their outfits!
Civil ceremony in Lains Barn
Lains Barn is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, meaning you can hold your legal ceremony on-site. You have the flexibility to choose the location within the venue where you want to exchange your vows. As it was November, Jennifer and James chose the barn to host their civil ceremony, however, during the summer the lawn is also an option to hold your wedding ceremony. The main barn can seat up to 170 guests and the high ceilings makes it lovely and airy and not feel cramped.
Jennifer looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Proposals wedding shop in Witney. The bridesmaid dresses are beautiful, orange, silk dresses from Ghost with buttons down the front.
Afternoon reception in the gardens
Despite being November, the British weather was kind to us and Jennifer and James enjoyed afternoon drinks in the gardens of Lains Barn after the ceremony. The floral decorations and the bouquets and button holes looked absolutely beautiful. Ann Laing did an incredible job and everyone commented on how wonderful the autumnal colours of the bouquets looked against the dresses.
Tom from The Falkenburgs took some beautiful photographs and was wonderful to work alongside during the ceremony and throughout the afternoon. Lains Barn offers several picturesque spots for wedding photography, my favourite is in amongst the trees in front of the grain store, especially in the autumn!
Ceilidh dancing for the ultimate wedding party
Ceilidh Tree did such a great job with the Ceilidh dancing. My favourite moment was standing in the middle of the dancefloor as the guests were in a circle coming straight at me! If you're looking for wedding entertainment that gets all your guests together (and laughing hysterically!) then I definitely recommend a Ceilidh band!
